Welcome to YUP!

Yup is a bare-bones basic shoot-em-up game inspired by arcade hits like Galaga and Space-Invaders. It features some new things, like bosses, purchasable items, and the ability to jump on enemies. It goes on forever, without a definitive start or end point

If the game appears to be unfinished or low in quality, that's because it is. This was a passion project I started working on in 8th grade, but then I had a severe case of feature creep, and premature optimization. This was because I was gradually learning how to program entirely while working on the game, which means that I never really had a definitive start or end goal, I just wanted to add things to a sandbox.  However, a few years later, I returned to the old code of my game and stripped it of most unnecessary content.

Now, the game is straightforward, goofy in style, and, most importantly, finished. There's a total of 10 worlds (backgrounds with songs), 16 bosses (random), and 11 enemies to fight against. How high of a score can you get? Let me know!

This is my first published game! If you like it, or have any advice, whether it be gameplay changes, characters, weapons, mechanics, etc. let me know! However,  any changes/upgrades will be for a deluxe version that I'm probably never going to do or complete.
